Photo Restoration – Tools for Genealogists
The Cloud County Genealogical Society is hosting an engaging workshop by Gary Clark at the Cloud County Historical Society Museum on August 10th at 2:00 P.M. The event will take place at 635 Broadway, please use the 7th Street entrance.
Learn how to share family treasures with others. This presentation explores the newest generation of tools that restore old photographs from damage such as fading, color shifts, scratches, and blemishes. Before and after examples, with some actual fixing during the presentation, will illustrate the capabilities available to the family historian and genealogist. Hard-to-read documents can also be digitally enhanced using the same technology.
Gary Clark has been a professional photographer, writer, and communications specialist for over four decades in various technology sectors. In addition, he is a genealogist and tracker of illusive ancestors since the mid-1990s.
Gary has presented at regional and national genealogy conferences for more than 15 years. He is the author of fourteen popular books on the subjects of old photographs, gravestone preservation, and other genealogy topics – including four books of his own family history.
